Massage therapy is a comprehensive intervention that involves several different techniques to manipulate the soft tissues and joints of the body. The purpose of massage therapy is to prevent, develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function or relieve pain caused by stress, muscular overuse and many chronic pain syndromes.
Some clients may have coverage through their private carrier. When paying through an insurance plan the Massage Therapist requires you to pay her directly and then the client will submit the claim to their insurance provider. Some insurance plans may require a physician’s referral. Please consult your extended health benefit plan.
Julia is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Sutherland Chan School and Teaching Clinic in 2006. The education she received at Sutherland Chan provided her with a wide variety of clinical experiences such as Stroke Club, Breast Massage, Equine Massage, and Pregnancy massage.
She truly believes in the art and science of massage therapy to relieve us of many of our soft tissue dysfunctions in the context of treatment or relaxation massage.
Her career in massage started with her interest in Aromatherapy and Cranial Sacral therapy which she incorporates aspects of in her treatments to relax and de-stress her clients.
She also has an interest in the anti-aging muscular re-education of the face. These non-surgical, non-invasive micro current face lift treatments include methods to improve your overall health by employing meridian balancing, the use of therapeutic grade essential oils and lymph drainage
